Daan Brouwer mastered the art of gold and silver smithing at the Vakschool in Schoonhoven, The Netherlands and in the studios of several master craftsmen. He also studied metal conservation and restoration at The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage in Amsterdam.

In addition to designing and making applied art, he restores and conserves silver objects for a broad range of customers, including antique dealers, museums and collectors.
